Refer another business to Yesoma

Activate your referral link on the Referrals page (Referral & Partner tab), share it by copy, WhatsApp, or email, track the businesses you have referred, and earn a reward when one signs up and becomes a paying customer.

Love Yesoma? Tell another business about it and earn a reward when they sign up. This is different from the customer referral program (where your own customers refer their friends to you). Here, you refer other business owners to Yesoma, and Yesoma rewards you. This guide covers where to find it, how to share your link, and how rewards work.

Who can use it

Only workspace owners and admins can open the Refer a business page. If you do not see the tab, ask an owner or admin on your team.

Find it

Open Referrals in the left sidebar, then click the Referral & Partner tab at the top. (The other tab, "Customer referrals", is the separate program where your own customers refer their friends to you.) The Referral & Partner tab shows your referral link to share, plus a read-only dashboard of the businesses you have referred, their status, and any rewards.

What you can see and do

The tab is yours to track, but the money side stays with Yesoma:

  • You can: share your link, log a referral, move it through the early stages (Invited, Requested audit, Demo booked, Trial started, or Lost), and add notes.
  • Yesoma handles: confirming when a referral actually becomes a paying customer, and approving and paying your reward. You'll see those update on your dashboard, but they aren't something you set yourself.

It's a read-only view of your own referrals — you can't see other businesses' referrals, and only owners and admins on your workspace can open the tab.

The first time you visit, click Activate my referral link. Yesoma creates a personal link and a short code for your workspace, something like:

getyesoma.com/r/REF-7K2QF9

This link is yours. Anyone who opens it sees a friendly "you have been invited to Yesoma" page and can sign up from there.

Share it

Once your link is active you have a few one-tap ways to send it:

  • Copy the link and paste it anywhere (a text, a group, a DM).
  • Share on WhatsApp opens WhatsApp with a short message and your link already filled in.
  • Share by email opens your email app with a ready-to-send note.
  • QR code opens a scannable code you can show on your phone for someone to scan in person, or download as an image to print on a flyer or card. A scan signs them up with your link, same as the rest.

You can also read your short code aloud or type it anywhere; it always points back to your link.

It's a win for them too: a business that signs up through your link starts with a free Yesoma trial.

Log a referral yourself

If you told a business about Yesoma in person or in a chat, you do not have to wait for them to click your link. On the Referral & Partner tab, click Log a referral and fill in their name and contact. You can set an early stage (Invited, Requested audit, Demo booked, or Trial started) and add notes, then update it later with the Edit button on its row as things progress.

The later stages happen on Yesoma's side: when a business you referred becomes a paying customer, the referral is marked converted automatically and a reward is drafted — those aren't something you set yourself.

What happens when someone signs up

When a business owner opens your link and creates a Yesoma workspace, we connect that new workspace back to you automatically. You do not have to do anything. Your Refer a business page then shows three running totals:

  • Businesses referred is how many real businesses you have sent who started signing up.
  • Paid referrals is how many of them became paying customers.
  • Rewards earned is the total reward Yesoma has paid you so far.

How rewards work

Rewards are reviewed and paid by the Yesoma team. When a business you referred becomes a paying customer, your reward moves from pending to approved, and then to paid once it has been sent. There is no automatic payout: a person on our side checks each one, so you may see a short delay between a signup and a paid reward.

Questions about a referral or reward?

Owners can't approve or pay their own rewards — that's handled by the Yesoma team. If you have a question about a specific referral or a reward (whether it converted, when it'll be paid), email support@getyesoma.com and we'll look it up by your code.

Tips

  • Share your link with owners who run a service business (salons, cleaners, trades, clinics, studios, and the like). That is who Yesoma fits best, so those referrals are the most likely to convert.
  • A quick personal note ("this is what I use to handle all my customer messages") works far better than just dropping a link.
  • Your link never expires, so it is safe to pin it somewhere you can grab it again.

  • Run a referral program — the other referral program, where your own customers refer their friends to your business (different from this one).
