Email forwarding setup

Per-provider forwarding for Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook, iCloud, and Fastmail — point your business email at Yesoma.

Per-provider walkthroughs for forwarding your business email to Yesoma. You'll need your Yesoma email address from Settings → Channels → Customer email first.

Gmail

  1. In Gmail, Settings (gear icon) → See all settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
  2. Forwarding → Add a forwarding address, enter your Yesoma address, click Next → Proceed.
  3. Gmail sends a verification code to that address. In Yesoma's Inbox you'll see the verification email appear as an inquiry — copy the code from it.
  4. Paste the code back into Gmail and confirm.
  5. Choose Forward a copy of incoming mail to Yesoma and keep Gmail's copy in the Inbox (or archive — your choice).
  6. Save.

Google Workspace (Gmail for business)

Same as Gmail above when you're forwarding a personal mailbox. To forward an entire domain (e.g. *@yourbusiness.com):

  1. Google Admin → Apps → Google Workspace → Gmail → Routing → Add another rule.
  2. Match: All recipients.
  3. Action: Modify message → Also deliver to → your Yesoma address.
  4. Save. Allow up to 10 minutes for the rule to propagate.

For Workspace, ask your admin if you don't have the Admin Console access.

Outlook / Microsoft 365

  1. In Outlook on the web, Settings → Mail → Forwarding.
  2. Toggle Enable forwarding, enter your Yesoma address.
  3. Tick Keep a copy of forwarded messages if you want a record in Outlook.
  4. Save.

For Microsoft 365 admins forwarding an entire mailbox: Admin Center → Active users → user → Mail → Email forwarding → Manage email forwarding.

iCloud Mail

iCloud forwards but doesn't let you keep a local copy. If you want both, set up a rule instead:

  1. iCloud Mail (web) → Settings (gear) → Rules → Add a Rule.
  2. If a message is from any senderThen Forward to your Yesoma address → and Mark as read.
  3. Save.

Fastmail

  1. Fastmail → Settings → Filters & Rules → New Rule.
  2. Condition: Any (so it matches all incoming mail).
  3. Action: Redirect to → your Yesoma address. Keep a copy if you want one in Fastmail.
  4. Save.

Verify

Once forwarding is set up, send a test email from a personal account to your business address. Watch Inbox in Yesoma — the test should appear within a few seconds.

Common issues

  • Verification email never arrives. Some providers send it from a no-reply address that Yesoma quarantines. Check Inbox → Closed in case it was auto-classified as noise.
  • Forwarded emails arrive with the wrong sender. That's expected for Gmail's basic forwarding — Yesoma reads the original From: header and attributes the inquiry correctly.
  • Forwarding loop. Don't forward your Yesoma address back to itself. (It happens more than you'd think.)
