WhatsApp setup status

Follow all eight assisted setup stages and understand Connected, Receiving only, Replies paused, and other safe states.

The WhatsApp settings page shows what your workspace can do now, where assisted setup stands, and the next safe action.

Follow the eight setup stages

  1. Request received — Yesoma saved your setup request.

  2. Reviewing number — the business and number are being reviewed.

  3. Verification in progress — required checks are under way.

  4. Connecting — the approved number is being connected through Meta's official WhatsApp Business service.

  5. Receiving messages — incoming messages are enabled, and the connection is ready for a message check. Yesoma shows:

Send one WhatsApp message to your business number so Yesoma can verify the connection.

The check is complete only after the message reaches the correct Yesoma workspace.

  6. Replies ready — authorized teammates can reply after the remaining readiness checks pass.

  7. Setup complete — receiving and replying have been proven through recorded activity, including successful reply delivery.

  8. Action required — setup is safely paused until you follow the guidance on the page.

The first seven stages describe normal progress. Action required may appear at any point when setup cannot safely continue. The page advances from recorded activity, not simply because time has passed.

What the connection badge means

  • Not connected — no managed WhatsApp connection is active.
  • Connecting — assisted setup is still in progress.
  • Connected — new messages appear in Yesoma, and your team can reply from the Inbox.
  • Receiving only — messages arrive, but replies are not enabled yet. This is an expected safe state while setup continues.
  • Replies paused — messages still arrive, but your workspace cannot send WhatsApp replies.
  • Action required — Yesoma needs your attention to continue or restore the connection.
  • Degraded — the connection is active, but some messages may be delayed. Yesoma support has been notified.

The page can also show the business number, recent successful activity, this month's accepted reply usage, and progress based on real connection and message activity.

Who can manage the connection?

Workspace Owners and Admins can request setup and manage available connection actions. Authorized Agents can reply when replies are ready. Viewers remain read-only.

Click-to-reply

If your workspace is not connected, click-to-reply may still open WhatsApp with a draft for you to send from your own WhatsApp app. It is a separate, one-way workflow: incoming replies and delivery states do not sync automatically. See Use WhatsApp click-to-reply.

Reply-period guidance

When a connected conversation is open for replies, Yesoma shows the exact expiry. After it closes, ordinary AI or typed replies remain unavailable. An exact language from the current Yesoma version labeled Meta approved can still be applied and reviewed from the Case. If no approved language is available, ask the customer to message your business again.
