Understanding Sent, Delivered, and Read
Understand WhatsApp delivery states, including what to do when a result is uncertain.
Yesoma shows a simple delivery status on each WhatsApp reply. The status moves forward as new delivery evidence arrives.
What each status means
- Sending… — Yesoma is completing the send request. Wait for the result before taking another action.
- Sent — the reply was accepted for delivery.
- Delivered — the reply reached the customer’s device or account.
- Read — a read confirmation was received. Read confirmations are not always available, so a reply can be successful without this status.
- Not sent — the send definitely failed. Read the message beside the status before deciding what to do next.
- Delivery status is uncertain — Yesoma cannot safely prove whether the provider accepted the reply.
Not sent and Delivery status is uncertain require different actions. When Yesoma confirms it stopped before contacting WhatsApp, the on-screen instruction may ask you to save, review, and try again. When delivery is uncertain, do not resend: the customer could receive the message twice.
Delivery updates can arrive later or out of order. Yesoma keeps the furthest confirmed status instead of moving a reply backwards. A duplicate update does not create a duplicate timeline item or increase usage again.
What to do when delivery is uncertain
Do not resend the reply. Sending again could contact the customer twice.
Yesoma keeps the original draft and available evidence, disables ordinary resend, and waits for a signed delivery update from Meta. If that update arrives with Yesoma's delivery reference, the reply is reconciled automatically without sending another message.
After the one-hour observation period, an owner or admin may choose Prepare another reply. Yesoma clearly states that it still cannot determine whether the earlier message was accepted or received. The owner or admin must acknowledge that the earlier message may still arrive and that a new reply could contact the customer twice. Yesoma records that risk decision and prepares a fresh composer; it does not send anything automatically. The earlier delivery remains open for a late Meta update, and a warning stays visible beside the new send control.
Use this only when the business need to continue outweighs the duplicate-message risk. Otherwise, leave the hold in place and contact support.
How usage is counted
The WhatsApp settings page counts replies only after authoritative acceptance. A malformed, failed, uncertain, duplicate, or unaccepted attempt does not increase the “replies sent this month” total.
If Yesoma cannot verify usage, it shows WhatsApp usage is temporarily unavailable instead of displaying zero or treating the allowance as unlimited.
